Experienced Leadership- A 24-year construction veteran, Mr. Childs is member of our executive team and is responsible for overseeing client services for 4C Project Consulting Services. Experience includes consulting and successfully managing projects with some of top contractors in the United States including projects throughout the United States including Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, Nevada, California, and Washington. From the beginning of his construction experience which started as a laborer in 1982, then becoming an electrician, and then after college into estimating, field supervision, project management, scheduling, consulting and claims analysis, he has gained a detailed knowledge of the construction process and a passion for what he does. Mr. Childs has been instrumental in the success of several projects encompassing a wide variety including Hospitals, Schools, Military Facilities, Historical Restoration, Performing Art Centers, Banks, Corporate Headquarters, Casino’s, Condos, Mixed-Use, Apartment Complex, Fitness Center, Multi Tenant High Rise, Museums, Healthcare, Correction Facilities, Golf Course Club House, and Education projects with a put in place value cumulative total in excess of $500 million dollars.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Science from Auburn University, is certified LEED AP, is a licensed contractor, is a Registered Building Inspector, and has served as a Committee Member for the AGC Government Affairs Committee, Community Awareness Committee, Continued Education Committee and the ABC- Chairperson. He is actively involved in service with his church, with the Boy Scouts of America, and with Habitat for Humanity.
